Input, please!

Friends, I need your ideas. Within the next month, I need to send a package to my missionary. I've been neglectful (and lacking in funds), and I feel that he needs something. Plus, I have a job again, so I will have money! I need some ideas of what to get him. This month's package will be a small one, but I can always use ideas because I still have another eighteen months to go! Experienced missionary girlfriends, help!

I'm not an experienced missionary girlfriend but at easter time last year i got a bunch of those cheap plastic eggs and filled them with cute notes, candies and other small things that could fit inside of them and sent them in a box to Jeremy. He loved it. It was simple, cheap and thoughtful :)

I also recommend getting in the habit of sending a card for EVERY holiday.. even if its an insignificant one. Jeremy expects cards now and is sad when a holiday passes without one haha

How long does a package take to get to Cali?
I remember doing a baked goods package. Get some of his favorite recipes from his mom, and some of your favorites together and send them off. It's not very expensive. and it's very tasty :)

Hey question for you... how do you create your own template for a blog?

Thanks for the suggestions, Laura and Kendra! I have sent him a card for most holidays so far, but will definitely continue, and I plan to send a batch of his favourite cookies for his birthday in July. I think it takes about 5-7 days to get to Cali, so it's not too bad.
And, Karen, sorry but I really have no idea how to create a template for a blog. I'm not that tech savvy, unfortunately.

As an experienced "missionary girlfriend"....TREATS!!!!! Send things that he likes but can't get down there...or even if he can get it he'll love it because it came from you.
His favorite gum, chocolate bar(s). Find a fun T-shirt that he can wear on his P-Days or just to bed. 2 or 3 pairs of new black sock ('cuz who doesn't love new socks). A pack of cue cards or post-it notes. AND...The usual supportive & encouraging letter.
