New obsession

I am one prone to obsessions. I have many. If you know me at all, you may be aware of some of them. For instance, there is polka dots, planning my future wedding (no, there is no ring on my finger), nail polish, and making lists, just to name a few. And now, I have a new one. It's called indexing, and it is amazing.
Last night for our ward Relief Society activity, we learned how to index. Indexing, if you haven't heard of it before, is transcribing records, such as censuses, death records, birth records, etc. Doing this aids those doing their genealogy. It's a really simple way to do some family history. It really is the little things that count.
If you want more information on how to start, go to familysearch.org, then click on "indexing" at the top. And away you go!

I love indexing too!! I found these interesting death record ones. There was one guy that shot himself in the head, another that was shot in the chest, and one that burned to death in their house (plus a ton of "regular" deaths") I know that's really morbid....but SO interesting! I also love reading about people's professions.

I spent about an hour indexing on the app the other day. I didn't even realize it had been an hour. I found N. Longbottom.
